Kapuskasing’s CAO says the airport has a minor contamination on its hands with clean-up slated for the summer months. Labelle says old in-ground fuel tanks were the culprit and the airport has since switched to above ground tanks for this very reason. Even though the contamination was minor the town has to take it seriously and already has contractors lined up to take care of it in the right way.
