Timmins Mayor Steve Black isn’t buying the argument that our gas prices are so high because transport trucks have to drive further. He brought the issue up to city council this week, and they have decided to petition the Competition Bureau to find out what is happening. Black says the high prices are not only negatively affecting residents; they are also affecting businesses because their costs are just that much higher. He says it’s critical we understand why our prices are so much more.
