Cochrane is at it again this month, trying to win $100,000 from Participaction to add to the equipment at Hillcrest Park.
The Park Pals committee is leading the way. Member Erin Trusz says they’re encouraging all Cochranites to get physically active and register with the Participaction Community Challenge.
“You go to the website, www.participaction.com and by signing up as an individual you’re committing to exercise during the month,” Trusz explains.
“We’ve had a few schools in Cochrane already register as well as the daycare and the Cochrane Soccer Club. If any other schools or organizations sign up, that also adds more points.”
There’s also an app that allows you to report every single session of exercise, adding yet more points.
At the end of the month, the most active community in Canada. gets the prize.
