The TD Summer Reading Club is back this year at the Cochrane Public Library. Acting CEO Jessica Horne says for the last 20 years, the Cochrane Lions Club has provided financial support.
“They provide us with money every summer that we’re able to use to really enhance the program, get all kinds of new kids’ books, all kinds of prizes, decorations, just the ability to really make it a really great interactive seven-week program,” Horne says.
You read at home, then bring a book report to the meeting.
“And then we’re going to have a story and craft or an experiment based on that week’s theme,” Horne explains. “So we have seven different themes going on for the whole summer, and three age groups. You can come every day and have a completely different experience.”
