As Cadence Residence retirement home in Cochrane extends its services beyond the occupants of its 32 retirement apartments, it’s holding a seniors fair this Thursday.
Facility manager Tina Turner says it’s at the Commando Pavilion between 10:30am and 3:00pm, bringing together community agencies providing everything seniors need to know.
“Housing, you could have your blood pressure checked, your sugars checked by the MICS diabetes team,” she outlines, “we will have different booths there with information on services available to senior.”
There’s also a complimentary lunch and entertainment by Tony Prophet and Lee Holmes.
“And in the afternoon,” Turner continues, “we have a presentation with the Porcupine Health Unit on the topic called Stay on Your Feet, on how we can prevent falls.”
