It’s being called a massive win for Canada’s aboriginal community. The Canada Human Rights Tribunal ruled yesterday that the federal government has discriminated against First Nations children. The tribunal found that social service programs for children on reserves receive more than 30 per cent less fund than what is provided elsewhere in Canada. In a statement, Anishinabek Nation Grand Council Chief Patrick Madahbee says this is a great victory for our kids.
