Bargain books for your kids made available by Iroquois Falls Public Library

There’s a table full of kids’ picture books at the Iroquois Falls Public Library that you don’t have to worry about returning.

Assistant librarian Hailey Montreuil says the books are being cleared out to make way for new ones.

“Rather than get rid of them, throw them out or anything like that,” she says, “we decided to just offer them up to the community, because books are always important, and the more books we can get into kids’ hands, the better.”

You don’t have to pay for the books, but Montreuil says a donation to the library is always appreciated, adding that you might be surprised at what you find.

“It’s definitely interesting for the parents,” the assistant librarian remarks. “They might find something that they really enjoyed as a kid that they can now share with their kids, without having to go looking for it.”

Montreuil says adult books are often offered the same way.
