Canadian NHL teams had a tough time getting into the win column with only the Winnipeg Jets winning against Arizona 5-2. Elsewhere, Buffalo shaded Ottawa 3-2, Montreal lost 5-2 to Columbus, Florida picked up a 5-1 win over Toronto while Nashville edged Vancouver 2-1.
The Toronto Raptors have matched a franchise record with their ninth win in a row and they made it look easy. The Raps demolished Washington 106 to 89 and Kyle Lowry connected for 29 points.
