Next Wednesday, the organization that operates the hospitals and long-term facilities in Cochrane, Iroquois Falls and Matheson is planning a career day.
MICs Health Care Group CEO Paul Chatelain says it’s in the upstairs hall at the Jus Jordan Arena in Iroquois Falls.
It offers high school students a look at some potential careers, while also taking another approach.
“Also, we’ll have a booth for current employment opportunities,” Chatelain notes. “We’ll have somebody there from HR to look at the job board with you and they’ll be accepting applications or take any questions.”
Chatelain says Grade 10, 11 and 12 students from Iroquois Falls and Cochrane are invited.
“We hope that this is going to spark an interest in pursuing that health care career, which is a good paying job, and whether it be in the hospital or long term care facility.”
The event is on from 10:00am until noon, and 1:00pm until 3:00pm in the upstairs hall at the Jus Jordan Arena.
