NewsANGUS SAYS GAS PRICES TOO HIGH SHARE ON: Tim Rout, staff Monday, Jan. 25th, 2016The record low oil prices aren’t helping drivers in Cochrane or Iroquois Falls, as the prices at the pumps are still high. Timmins-James Bay MP Charlie Angus says this is why the NDP have been fighting for a gas ombudsman. He says the Competition Bureau isn’t willing to take on the high prices in the North, and the New Democrats want to see some fair prices. Angus is asking Prime Minister Justin Trudeau to step up and support the north. He says even though the west is getting hit with the low oil prices, it doesn’t make anyone better off to gouge people by 10 or 20 cents a litre day after day.
