WOODLANDS BOOMING

The low Canadian dollar isn’t bad news for every sector of industry.  While food prices may have risen significantly, the low loonie has given lumber mills in the north an opportunity to increase exports.  The low dollar makes prices of wood importing very cheap and could mean an increase in work and demand for the northern forestry sector.  The Tembec mills in both Kapuskasing and Hearst employ large percentages of the population and more work is always good news.
