Free income service back this year in I.F.

Starting later this month, a group of seven volunteers in Iroquois Falls will complete income tax returns for people who need help, or can’t afford to pay someone.

Carmen Girard is back as coordinator of the Community Volunteer Income Tax Program through Revenue Canada. She says her group works with a wide range of people.

“Seniors, students, single parents, we’ll take new Canadians, indigenous, disabled, low income,” she says, continuing, “Starting February 27th, every Tuesday and Thursday, we will be at the Lions Den through the side door from ten to 12 noon.”

That runs until April 25th. There’s also an opportunity in Matheson.  To hear that and other details, listen to the interview with Carmen Girard right here.
