The mayor of Cochrane says it’s time to roll up his sleeves and get back to work… in the wake of being docked 90 days’ pay for harassing and intimidating two municipal managers.
The town’s integrity commissioner found grounds to penalize Peter Politis for his treatment of CAO Monika Malherbe and community services director Jason Boyer.
However, Politis defends himself with the dissenting opinion from what he calls another, more experienced commissioner who says there are no grounds for the penalty.
Still, the mayor says he sees this as an opportunity to become a better version of himself, and continue to learn and grow.
