The Bill Harkins-Eugene Ricard Iroquois Falls Telethon is set to roll tomorrow night at the Iroquois Falls Secondary School Auditorium and on its YouTube channel from 5:30 to 9 pm.
Media Relations spokesperson Rick Charlebois says they’re going back to a live show with a number of performers set to hit the stage.
“The telethon is the Santa Claus Fund’s one and only fundraiser and the whole purpose of it is to provide relief by way of food vouchers that are redeemable for food or clothing at local establishments.”
Charlebois says they’ve set a new target this year to help more people in need.
“If we can assume that we are going to get a 50 per cent increase in demand by applications for vouchers ourselves then I might have to set based on what we gave away last year I’d have to set our target to approximately $28,000.”
