Cochrane Summerfest is coming up the second weekend of August, and along with it, the second annual classic car show and competition.
Yvette Larabee operates Ride ‘Em Show ‘Em with her husband and son and organizes the show. She says the event is Saturday, August 12th, outside the 49th Parallel Kitchen and Bar on Third St., stretching between Third Ave. and Sixth Ave. It’s free for spectators. Competitors pay a $10 fee.
“Now, we are close to about $8,000 worth of cash and prize giveaways,” says Larabee. “We have a total of ten trophies.”
Larabee is expecting this edition to be bigger.
“Last year, we had 63 registered, and that was our first year,” she points out. “So now, we hope for a hundred. We’re hoping.”
