The World Junior Hockey gold medal game features Russia taking on Finland this afternoon.  Russia advanced to the final with a 2-1 win over the U-S yesterday.   Meanwhile, the Americans take on Sweden in the bronze game beginning at nine this morning.

Ottawa defeated St. Louis 3-2 in overtime in NHL play.  Elsewhere, Edmonton shut-out Carolina 1-0 in overtime while Vancouver dropped a 3-2 decision to Arizona.

In the NBA, the Toronto Raptors didn’t even come close to beating Cleveland.  The Cavaliers defeated the Raptors 122-110.

The Cochrane Crunch are home to Blind River this Friday at the Tim Horton Event Centre.  Game time 7:30pm.
