KWG, one of the miners at the Ring Of Fire site, has hired a Chinese railway specialist to examine the feasibility of building a rail line to the site. KWG spokesman Bruce Hodgman says the line would go over a sand ridge and not muskeg. And if the link is feasible, Hodgman foresees Ontario Northland Railway hauling out the chromite. Hodgman says KWG has been in regular contact with the ONR over the rail concept. If the deal goes through, China may require partial ownership of the chromite project as pay for services rendered.
