The 100th anniversary reunion for Iroquois Falls Secondary School happens Canada Day weekend. A preliminary event to that takes place four weeks earlier, when the SkyHawks Canadian Armed Forces Parachute Team drops in.
IFSS principal Brian Forsythe says it’s at 1:00pm on Saturday, June 3rd.
“They’re dropping onto the Abitibi Golf Course, the second hole,” he explains. “Spectators for that will be on the road in front of the golf course, which is Synagogue.”
Being outdoors, there is no admission fee.
“There is going to be a recruiter from the Canadian Forces there, to speak to anybody who’s interested in learning more about that” the principal adds, ”and there’ll also be representation from local Army Cadet and Air Cadet units as well.”
