And with the win, Canada has assured itself of a playoff spot. The Winnipeg Jets were the only Canadian NHL team to win. The Jets did it with a 4-1 victory against Detroit. In other action, Edmonton dropped a 5-2 decision to L-A, Calgary was shut-out 1-0 by Anaheim, Boston skated to a 7-3 win over the Ottawa Senators, Toronto lost 6-3 to the New York Islanders and the Montreal Canadiens were 3-1 losers to Florida.
