Remi Ski Hill in Moonbeam is one of the victims of our mild winter but it isn’t all bad according to Norm Nadeau who runs the hill. Nadeau says all the equipment is ready to go, the chalet is open and many of the snow shoeing and cross country ski trails are currently open. He says with the cold the base is sufficiently frozen meaning dirt and other particulate won’t be a problem once the snow begins to fall. The mild winter has had a significant economic impact on businesses centered around winter sports.
