UPDATE AT 1:00pm: The school board responsible for IFSS, DSB-1 says the hold and secure instituted at 9:40am was lifted at 11:30. There is no longer any concern for safety.
A potential threat to students and staff has forced Iroquois Falls Secondary School into “hold and secure” status.
In a letter to families, IFSS principal Brian Forsythe says the OPP are looking into the credibility of the information.
Under hold and secure, the day goes on as usual, although no one is allowed into or out of the building. Forsythe says it will be lifted when there’s no longer a safety concern.
We will update on My Cochrane Now Dot Com when information becomes available and on Moose News at 4:00 and 5:00pm.
