Writers gather at Cochrane Public Library

Anyone interested in writing or already into it stands to get a boost Wednesday night at six at the Cochrane Public Library.

Program services coordinator Heather Brouwer says it’s the first meeting of a writers’ circle suggested by local author Sue Reimer.

“It is a first meeting,” Brouwer observes, “so it’s just a place to kind of meet other writers, share some ideas and help establish a writing group.”

Brouwer says it’s for any adult interested in poetry, fiction or non-fiction writing, from the rookie to the highly experienced..

“Whether they’re starting out with just some story ideas and looking to get ideas on how to piece that together,” Brouwer explains, “or whether they’re a little bit later in the process and maybe wondering how to go about getting published, or how to get your name out there.”

It will cost you none of your future royalties, although Brouwer says if you don’t have a library card, it would be great if you get one while you’re there.
