Executives of Canada Nickel expected at Cochrane Board of Trade AGM next month

A mix of business and pleasure is in store at the Commando Pavilion the night of Thursday, April 13th, when the Cochrane Board of Trade holds its 112th annual general meeting.

President Frank Louvelle says it’s an exciting time with all the economic opportunities in the area.  So speaking will be executives from Canada Nickel, which he says will play a huge role.

“Mark Selby is supposed to be here, who’s the CEO of Canada Nickel,” he states. “There’s three other representatives as well that should be attending.”

Louvelle says that group will update work on its mine in the area, and talk about its benefits to Cochrane.

There will also be a silent auction and live music; and Contact North will demonstrate applications of virtual reality in terms of career training.

“We’re going to actually have some different organizations at this event,” Louvelle adds, “providing information to support local businesses and for grant opportunities and various things like that.”

Full details on tickets and other plans for the AGM can be found in this audio link to our conversation with Frank Louvelle.
