Université de Hearst accepts Collège Boréal business grads into third year

L’Université de Hearst and Collège Boréal have broadened their agreement to have college grads move on to university. Graduates of  Boréal’s two-year business programs can move on to third year in the degree program at U of H.

University communications and marketing director Martine Laberge says all they need is a 3.2 GPA, or 80 percent.

“Basically what we’re saying is that within four years, a college student will have a college diploma plus a specialized bachelor’s degree in administration,” Laberge explains.

That combines the hands-on feature of the college program with the academic focus of the university program.

“The bachelor’s degree really gives you that sort of edge over many people, and that’s all throughout your career,” Laberge adds.

Laberge adds that it makes you more competitive in the job market, with many positions requiring a degree.

The three qualifying Boréal programs are business administration accounting, business administration techniques and office administration.

Registration is now being accepted for September, 2023.
