Friday is Moose FM Community Cares Radiothon Day for MICs hospitals

Friday is the day Moose FM turns its radio stations in Iroquois Falls and Cochrane over to the MICs Hospital Foundation, for our annual Community Cares Radiothon.

From 6:00am to 6:00pm, our phone lines will be open, accepting monetary pledges

Foundation coordinator Katie Browne says the money goes towards the Plum 360 pump infusion system for the hospitals in the Falls, Cochrane and Matheson.

“We’re looking at implementing 40-plus systems amongst all of our hospitals,” she outlines. “So just enhancing quality care, accuracy and just making sure that we’re giving the best quality care when our community needs it.”

Don’t worry if you don’t know what a pump infusion system is.  We’ll have experts on the air to explain it.

“We’re looking at a cost of over $120,000,” says Browne. “So this is just a really great opportunity to raise funds to go towards that piece of equipment.”

You can also drop off a donation at the Moose location on Fifth St,.in Cochrane, across from Brisson’s, or the reception desk of any of the three hospitals.
