Living Nativity returns for another year

The annual Cochrane tradition of a living Nativity, portraying the birth of Jesus,  is scheduled for Friday, December 2nd at 7:00pm.

It’s a production of the Cochrane Ministerial Association.  Pastor Bob Cox of New Hope Community Church says there are a lot of animals involved.

“Live animals like a donkey that Mary rides on,” he outlines. “Most years we’ve had a horse. I’m not sure whether we got a big horse this year or not. Herod rode in on a horse a couple years.”

“Nobody does any lines because the lines are all pre-recorded and so they’re on a nice speaker system with music and that.”

Pastor Cox says there will be hay bales to sit on, and the one-hour program incorporates a hot chocolate break about half way through.

You’re encouraged to bring a donation to the Northern Ontario Animal Welfare Society or the Cochrane Food Bank.
