The Special Investigations Unit has been called into Kapuskasing. The OPP was at an apartment building on Byng last week, following up on reports of a man who wouldn’t leave. They couldn’t find him, but did see a second floor window screen on the ground. Police found him a few streets over, and arrested him. The 31-year-old fractured his wrist at some point during that incident. Since the OPP were involved, the S.I.U. now has to follow up. The Kapuskasing man is looking at four charges, including public intoxication and breaking probation.
