Awareness of services available in Cochrane related to Alzheimer’s Disease is the focus of an event at the Commando Pavilion on Saturday, September 10th.
Yvette Larabee chairs the ten-member Cochrane Alzheimer Committee. She says you can consult several related agencies that will be there, between eleven and four.
“They can listen to music,” Larabee points out. “There’ll be a barbecue by Bill Pudim. So people can just go in and check out what we are offered in Cochrane, as far as information and services.”
There will also be a silent auction on a donated quilt, painting and lantern. Proceeds go towards activity sensory supplies for the Villa Minto long-term care home.
“We hope to have a lot of people come in and see us and find out what is available to help people in Cochrane,” Larabee concludes.
