A new splash pad and recreation park will be built in Iroquois Falls next summer. The town of Iroquois Falls announced on Thursday that Devonshire Park will undergo a significant change thanks to the major donations from Validus Power Corporation and Tightline Construction.
The Leo Bechard Recreation Centre is named after Validus Power CEO Todd Shortt’s father-in-law from Iroquois Falls. It will feature a splash pad, basketball, tennis and pickleball courts, a picnic area and a water fountain.
Iroquois Falls Mayor Tory Delaurier says the project has moved forward in such a short period of time because of the cooperation between the town and two major companies. Â The project is expected to be completed by next summer.
