UPDATE AT 4:00pm WED., JULY 27: The boil water advisory has been lifted. The tape water is again safe for drinking and cooking.
Everyone living in Monteith is being told not to drink their tap water.
The Porcupine Health Unit, along with the Town of Iroquois Falls and Ontario’s Clean Water Agency has imposed a boil water advisory.
You should bring it to rolling boil for at least one minute before drinking it or cooking it.
It’s not clear how long the advisory will be in effect.
