There is no timeline on when Monteith Rd will reopen between Moffat Rd and Railway Ave.
The collapse of the road under the guardrail about 1.5 km north of Driftwood Lane has had it closed for just over a week.
Iroquois Falls public works director Joel Cyr says engineers say it has to stay closed until it’s fixed. That won’t happen until a geotechnical investigation determines the condition of the sub-soil. There’s no timeframe or cost estimate yet.
