After losing his first run at Queen’s Park in 2007 to David Ramsay, John Vanthof has scored his fourth straight victory as New Democratic MPP for Timiskaming-Cochrane.
Vanthof scored 42.9% of the vote in Thursday’s provincial election. Conservative Bill Foy put on a respectable showing, drawing 35.5% of ballots cast.
A distant third at 6.8-percent was Liberal Brian Johnson. That’s a slide from the last time out, when he garnered 9% of the vote.
