Club Amical 50-Plus in Cochrane is helping beautify the surroundings of some of its members.
President Monique Génier says there are three or four members living at Villa Minto, and seven or eight at Cadence Residence. This week, the club planted flowers at Villa Minto. Next Monday, they’ll help people living at Cadence plant flowers in pots, and do a few for the outdoor common area.
Génier says Amical is always looking for ways to help the community.
“We decided this year we were going to concentrate our activities on helping other seniors who have been cooped up for the last three years, because of COVID,” she explains.
Génier says there will be more at Cadence, once COVID-19 restrictions are relaxed a bit more.
“Going for maybe a barbecue later on during the summer, outside games and that kind of stuff.”
