Two planned provincial election polling stations in Cochrane combined into one

On Thursday when you go out to vote in the provincial election, do not go to Aileen Wright Catholic School.

Timiskaming-Cochrane returning officer Lise Lachapelle says problems with the school gym make it necessary to move the polling station to the only other one in Cochrane, at Transfiguration Church.

“Both locations are combined,” she confirms. “We just made it a super poll to encompass everyone from both sites.”

The capacity there has been increased to meet the demand.  And Lachapelle says the yellow card you got in the mail will help a lot.

“If you have your card, bring your card,” the returning officer advises.  “It makes it that much easier just to scan you in. Make sure you have your IDs ready and it should go pretty smoothly.”

You can vote any time Thursday between 9:00am and 9:00pm.
