June is Pride Month, recognizing the LGBT community. Cochrane Public Library program services coordinator Hillary Meaden says the library is starting it off on Wednesday, June 1st with a flag raising at town hall at 11:00amock.
“After the ceremony, the library invites everybody in the community, whether they were able to attend the flag ceremony or not, to come to the library,” Meaden adds. “We’ll be having refreshments and cookies, all Pride themed, of course. We’ll be having a wonderful Pride display of all of our materials regarding the LGBT community and wonderful resources.”
