Voters get a chance to hear Timiskaming-Cochrane candidates in the provincial election Wednesday night in Iroquois Falls.
The meet the candidate session is being put on by the Chamber of Commerce. Membership retention coordinator Justice Lerette says the moderator will ask pre-submitted questions that will be curated for fairness and equality.
“We will have a table with paper and pens,” she points out. “People can write down their questions and then people from the Chamber will review them to make sure that they’re not inappropriate or anything like that and they’re valid questions that should be shared with the public.”
Each question will go to each candidate. Lerette says only four of the six will be there.
“Two of them will not be able to make it. However, we will have NDP, Green, Libertarian and New Blue present.”
Doors open at 6:30pm. The program begins at 7:00pm. There is no admission fee.
