Musicians looking forward to performing in front of crowds with easing of COVID-19 restrictions

Musicians in our region are looking forward to getting back in front of the public again with the easing of the COVID-19 restrictions. Mitch Jean has already booked shows in smaller communities just prior to some major events in Kapuskasing (Winterfest), Smooth Rock Falls (Smooth Truck Fest) and Porquis (Music Festival). Jean says the time during the pandemic allowed him to focus on a couple of areas.

“We get to write together and write with different song writers with the record label, and we had time to do this during the COVID definitely,” he said. “I also had a chance to grow a presence online because of it.”

Jean says the live stream shows on social media were fun to do and helped to develop a whole different fan base with fans literally all over the world including Singapore.

“Don’t get me wrong I love to write, I love to produce, I love to do the web live stream it’s all great, but to have an audience in front you is just nothing like it so absolutely excited,” he said.
