The Toronto Maple Leafs picked up a 5-1 win over Colorado in NHL play last night. The Calgary Flames were the only other Canadian team in action and they edged New Jersey 3-2.
The Toronto Raptors lost a close game to the NBA’s defending champions, Golden State Warriors. The Warriors just outlasted the Raps 115-110 to win their 12th straight game on the season.
Russia has won its first game of the Canada/Russia series. Last night the Russians beat a squad from the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League 3-2. Canada leads the series 12 points to 3.
