Cochrane trivia: What year did Lady Minto Hospital open? What did U.S. soldiers set up in the 40s?

We’re wrapping up our Christmas holiday Cochrane history trivia feature today with two more questions.

Public library archivist Ardis Proulx-Chedore has the first one. “In what year did Lady Minto Hospital open in Cochrane?

The answer: 1916, the same year as the great fire.

And the final one: “In the 40s, U.S. soldiers arrived in Cochrane to set something up. What was it?”

The answer to that one is a radar post in 1942.
