The Detroit Red Wings beat Ottawa 4-3 in overtime last night in the NHL.  And Montreal used the same score to get by Vancouver, also in overtime.  The only other Canadian team in action had Winnipeg losing 3-2 to St. Louis. 

In the NFL Monday Nighter, the Cincinnati Bengals have their first loss of the season.  In what was more like a high scoring baseball game, Houston got by the Bengals 10-6.  Cincinnati is now 8-1.
