The James Bay OPP will be welcoming a new Detachment Commander. Taking over in 2016 is Staff Sergeant Mike Pilon, an officer with over 20 years of experience. Staff Sergeant Mike Pilon will be taking the reins from Inspector Mike Demeules when he transfers at the end of this year. Pilon will continue his duties as Staff Sergeant in Cochrane until he takes over in January. The OPP says it will be relying on his over 20 years of experience including his time as a detective, crime supervisor and operations manager.
