Shopping local and avoiding supply issues aim of I.F. Chamber of Commerce event

Friday night’s the night.  Between 4:00 and 9:00pm, the Iroquois Falls Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring Late Nite Madness.

“And it’s perfect timing right before the holidays to get all of your Christmas shopping done,” says Chamber membership retention coordinator Justice Lerette. Several local stores are participating, along with independent vendors set up in booths at Earl Porter Lanes.  Those vendors offer everything from spa products to handmade crafts.

“Those attending Earl Porter Lanes must show proof of (COVID-19) vaccination for both the vendors and the shoppers, due to government guidelines,” Lerette points out.

Lerette says the event is perfect, in light of global supply chain issues and the accompanying push to shop local.

“We need to support our small businesses all year round, but especially with this problem, it gives people that opportunity and to get all of their shopping out of the way.”
