I.F. telethon set to go Saturday

Saturday’s the big night Iroquois Falls residents look forward to every year.  The annual telethon for the Bill Harkins-Eugene Ricard Santa Claus Fund goes live on the web between five and 9:30.

Chairman Rick Charlebois says your pledge to the fund is tax deductible.

“All donations can get a charitable tax receipt as well,” he notes. “And we thank everybody in advance for their continued participation and support.”

The money raised used to go to grocery hampers.  Charlebois says because of COVID-19, it’s now vouchers for needy families, “Which they can spend at the local grocery stores, but also any place in town that sells food or clothing. They can use it for clothing or a combination thereof.”

Jamy Bernier and Bob McIntyre host the proceedings.  You can watch the telethon on YouTube or the Santa Claus Fund’s Facebook page between 5:00 and 9:00pm Saturday.
