Library has outdoor Halloween party set, offers costume suggestions

Halloween weekend is only two weeks away, and as you would expect, Cochrane Public Library program services coordinator Hillary Meaden says the library’s ready to celebrate.

“On the 29th from 3:30 until 4:30, we’re going to be having an outdoor trick-or-treating. It’s for all ages. We hope to see everybody in costume.”

Did you catch that? ALL ages.  Meaden says there will be treats for everyone, while supplies last.

She also has ideas for a costume.

“I would suggest to try your favourite literary character,” she says. “I love always seeing Junie B. Jones walking around, or Harry Potter or characters like that.”

That could also give you a leg up on the costume contest component of the library’s outdoor trick-or-treating event. Another suggestion from Meaden is dressing up as the cover of your favourite book.
