This month, Lady Minto Hospital celebrates their one hundredth birthday. While details surrounding the celebration are still being finalized, you can be sure it’ll be a celebration to remember. The hospital gets its name from Mary Caroline Grey, wife to Lord Minto Governor General of Canada in 1900. At that time, the exceedingly wealthy heiress donated enough money to construct 43 hospitals across Canada, the original Cochrane facility being one. The original building was erected in 1915 and opened its doors fully in 1916.
