CHANGING LAWS IN TIMMINS

Timmins is looking at ways to increase street use for snowmobiles without allowing unlimited access.  The snowmobile club is asking council use all of the streets for better access to the trails.  But Councillor Pat Bamford says there are some issues with that.  Other issues discussed included safety and noise concerns.  Council has asked the group to identify their proposed routes, so they can look at them and go from there.  Smaller municipalities nearby such as Cochrane and Kapuskasing have similar by-laws already in place, allowing some use for access to trails.
