First Cochrane Scouts recruiting members from Cochrane and Iroquois Falls

COVID-19 safety protocols are still in effect, but the First Cochrane Scouts are meeting indoors again at the Scout Hall.

Group commissioner Crystal Burkholder says recruitment is on for adult volunteers and youth members.  The age range is five for Beavers, right up through 26 for Rovers.

People from Iroquois Falls are also welcome.

“We have several families that come from Iroquois Falls,” notes Burkholder. “We also have some adult volunteers as well that make the commute to Cochrane.”

Ultimately, the wish is to re-establish Scouting there.

“For that, of course,” says Burkholder, “we need some Scouters from Iroquois Falls. Usually it’s two or three adult volunteers per level or section.”

Information is available on the First Cochrane Scouts Facebook pages.  Meetings of the various age levels begin at the scout hall on September 15th.
