New water meter rates will be the focus of today’s council meeting in Cochrane. Also a request from the Northern Lights Metis Council asking for a Metis flag to be raised at town hall will be heard. The new water rate structure is planned to take effect by the end of this month or early November according to the agenda. It’s not known yet if the recent audit of election finances, clearing the mayor’s name will be addressed in council. The public is both encouraged and welcome to attend council.
