HENRY’S NEW HOME

New enclosures and a new climate are part of the challenges for Cochrane’s newest resident.  Henry the polar bear was shipped to the Polar Bear Habitat from Seaworld in Australia two weeks ago today.  His handler, and Marine Scientist, Nora Tenbrock, says he is settling in well despite the changes.  She says he still in a quarantine phase, but may eventually be introduced to Ganuk.   Tenbrock, who traveled with Henry from Australia, says if that goes well with no aggression, the next step will have the two meet in a controlled environment.  Henry is at the Cochrane Polar Bear Habitat now, and is out intermittently for the public to see him.
