KAP FOLLOWING COCHRANE’S LEAD

Tentative plans are in the works for a dog park in Kapuskasing.  The town’s CAO Yves Labelle says a public meeting may be scheduled sometime in the future to look at Dominion Park as the site.  In Cochrane, the town has opened its new dog park with the official opening coming next spring.  Labelle says Cochrane’s approach to developing a dog park is highly efficient and will form the basis for Kap’s planned park.

An earlier report that the Cochrane dog park was locked to visitors was in error.  Officials say while the small park remains closed for development, the larger zone is open to the pubic.  However, an unusual style latch is currently being used on the gate and this may have confused some visitors who reported the gate as locked.
